It's an interesting list, with two Detroit teams. I think the Red Wings could have been in there somewhere...because hockey fans either LOVE or HATE the Winged Wheel.

There are a few on here that I really despised. 1991-1992 Duke Basketball...ugh I still can't stand Christian Laettner I also hated 2005 USC. You just knew something was wrong with that picture! Ty Cobb might be the most despicable player in MLB history. Just reading about what he did just disgusts me. Good list.

I have a great Ty Cobb story. This is the story I was told from a local baseball historian.

Harry Heilmann (right field/Tigers broadcaster) was dying of cancer. It was really grim at that point. So his old teammate, Ty Cobb, goes to visit him in the hospital. He goes up and starts talking to him. Just before he leaves, he tells the guy that he was elected to the Hall of Fame. It put a big grin on Harry's face. Unfortunately, Heilmann died the next day, thinking he had been elected to the Hall of Fame, when in fact, he had not. Ty Cobb kept his campaign up and was able to get him elected in the next year, 1952.

Cobb may have been a jerk, but there was a soft side to him as well.

Could be. Also most of the teams that were listed had won either league, national or world championships.
