What is the Phalanx? Rules for Using this Forum.

The Phalanx Formation is what Mark Dantonio has the players march onto the field with. Locked arm and arm the Spartans march out for each game!

Here are the rules for using this message board:

1.No personal attacks. We want people to disagree and have vigorous discussion. That is what message boards are for. We don't have to attack and defame people to do it. If people become belligerent with this we will ban them. I hope it doesn't come to that.
2.We welcome fans of other teams. That makes it a better time for all of us.
3.No nudity and language should be decent. We are certainly not prudes, but cursing on a public message board is not necessary.
4.You can hate on a players performance without hating the players. You can feel free to complain, but no personal attacks on prep or college players. Pro's are fair game.
5.We will have plenty of players, family and coaches that read and post and we will not tolerate demeaning someone's character.
6.This is a work in progress and we always want to improve. Don't hesitate to give ideas for improvement.
7.We allow people to post information, but not to cut and paste from premium pay sites. Bring us the info? No problem. Cut and paste it? Problem.
8.Sexual conversations are not tolerated. This is a sports board.
9.We want to avoid major hijacking with OT threads. If something big outside of sports happens of course we will let it go, but WE can't let the board get over taken.
10.Please don't cut and paste articles off of the Spartan Nation main page to here. We will always discuss the articles, but just link back to it rather than cut and paste please.
11. Our record is impeccable protecting sources. If you have information to pass on, click on the email Hondo link on the main page of the SpartanNation.com site and send it on. Please remember that if you have information that is sensitive to be careful posting it on a public message board.
12. None sports topics are monitored CLOSELY. Adult discussion and disagreement is wonderful. If you are not mature enough to speak to someone with whom you disagree DON'T!

I used to be on "another" discussion board (won't say their name but starts with M! and ends with live) but it's been over-infested with UM trolls and is now fairly worthless.
